ANALYSIS OF THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF MARINE TOURISM VILLAGE IN INCREASING THE WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY OF LEGUNDI ISLAND VILLAGE, PESAWARAN DISTRICT

Abstract

Tourism is a source of state revenue and community income. Each region certainly has tourist attractions with different kinds of potential. Tourism development is very necessary for every region, especially those that have potential, such as Pulau Legungi Village, Pesawaran Regency. This study aims to determine the right strategy to be implemented to manage the development of the Legundi Island Tourism Village for the welfare of the community and to identify the driving and destroying factors. The method used is a qualitative method with the theory of salusu and measuring tools SWOT analysis. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, documentation and observation. Based on the results of the analysis carried out by researchers that the Legundi Island Tourism Village has beautiful and beautiful natural potential and is certainly able to attract tourists, however there are still obstacles such as lack of promotion, shooting distance to the location, unavailability of tourist facilities and lack of public awareness of tourism. The role of the Tourism Office along with the village head and pokdarwis of Pulau Legundi Village is very important to participate in the development of Tegal Mas tourism in order to increase PAD and Community Welfare.
