Abstract

National Assessment is a new form of learning assessment for educational mapping. Prior to the assessment of learning in Indonesia, the National Examination was held by the National Education Standards Board. National Assessment is implemented at the primary, primary and secondary levels of education. One of the educational units that carry out the National Assessment is SMA Swadhipa Natar, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. This study aims to find out the impact of National Assessment policy in Swadhipa Natar High School. This study is a qualitative descriptive study, which is studied using Regulatory Impact Analysis theory with cost and benefit indicators. The results of this study show that the implementation of the National Assessment policy in SMA Swadhipa Natar, South Lampung Regency has positive and negative effects. These positive impacts include, among others, the character of students can be better known, learning methods are more developed, facilities and infrastructure are improved and the level of student stress decreased. While the negative impact is a decrease in students' enthusiasm to learn. This is because the National Assessment is not a requirement and benchmark for graduation or promotion requirements, but for the assessment of educational units. Therefore, students do not feel challenged to study more diligently.
