Forest management with the community (study of conservation partnership program in Wan Abdul Rachman botanical forest park)
Abstract
Community participation in forest management depends on the location of the environment. This Community Joint Forest Management was made from the initiative of the surrounding community and the Lampung Provincial Forestry Service to maintain the existence of the community in Tahura so as not to encroach or manage forest areas with no conservation insight. The existence of the community as cultivators in the Wan Abdul Rachman Tahura working area needs a legal basis that provides legality for their existence as cultivators in the Tahura area. Farmer groups in the Tahura area joined the Conservation Partnership Program to manage conservation forests in the Wan Abdul Rachman Tahura. This research aims to find out how the conservation partnership program process in Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman and the inhibiting factors of the conservation partnership program. This research uses KSDAE Regulation Number 6 of 2018 concerning Technical Guidelines for Conservation Partnerships in Nature Reserve Areas and Nature Conservation Areas, namely the Pre Implementation Stage, the Development and Control Stage, the Monitoring and Evaluation Stage. The method in this research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data validity test that researchers use is the degree of trust (credibility) and triangulation techniques. The results showed that this conservation partnership program has been running with pre-implementation stages, coaching and control, monitoring and evaluation in accordance with the guidelines they use, namely Perdirjen KSDAE Number 6 of 2018. However, there are still several farmer groups that have not been licensed by the Ministry, and the budget is only obtained from forest products managed by the farmer groups themselves to facilitate the farmer groups.
